While most acids react with many metals to
release hydrogen gas, nitric acid is exceptional for its ability
to react with some metals that other acids cannot attack. But the
products of such a reaction are very different.   .
For now, we'll keep to the simple displacement
of hydrogen gas and write molecular and net ionic reactions for
that. |
